1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how PDF Reader: Offline PDF Tools (the "App"), an Android PDF and document utility application developed by Teckvertex Labs, handles information. Users may select documents from their device and use the App's PDF tools. The App does not require users to create a Teckvertex Labs account to use its core functionality.

2. Local Document Processing and File Access

Core PDF and document processing is performed locally on your device. Teckvertex Labs does not automatically upload users' PDF or document contents to its own servers as part of normal PDF processing. Generated and output files remain on the device unless the user chooses to share, export, move, or upload them through another application or service.

The App may access documents selected by users through Android's file and document access mechanisms. When Android's Storage Access Framework or document picker is used, you choose which files the App can access. The App uses internet or network access for AdMob, Firebase Analytics, consent messaging, and related network functions. It does not access contacts, SMS, call logs, the microphone, or precise GPS location.

3. Information Provided Directly

Teckvertex Labs does not require a name, email address, or account for the App's core functionality and does not normally maintain server-side copies of locally processed PDF documents. If you contact support, Teckvertex Labs receives the information you choose to include in your message and may retain it for a reasonable period necessary to respond and maintain related records.

4. Third-Party Services

PDF Reader: Offline PDF Tools uses Firebase Analytics, displays advertisements using Google AdMob, and uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). These services may process technical, analytics, advertising, device, identifier, or related information according to their own policies, applicable law, configuration, and consent choices. The App does not currently use Firebase Crashlytics.

5. Firebase Analytics

PDF Reader: Offline PDF Tools uses Firebase Analytics to understand overall app engagement, which PDF tools and features are used, feature adoption, application flows, sessions, general performance, and opportunities for product improvement.

Firebase Analytics may process app-instance identifiers, device information, app information, operating-system information, application interactions, usage events, session and engagement information, approximate location inferred from an IP address where applicable, and technical or diagnostic information where applicable. The information processed depends on Firebase configuration, device settings, region, applicable law, and Google's policies. PDF contents, PDF text, document filenames, passwords, and users' document files are not intentionally sent to Firebase Analytics as analytics event data.

Learn more in the Firebase Privacy and Security documentation and the Google Privacy Policy.

6. Advertising / Google AdMob

PDF Reader: Offline PDF Tools displays advertisements using Google AdMob.

Google and its advertising partners may process device information, operating-system information, IP address, approximate or general location inferred from IP address, advertising identifiers where permitted, ad impressions, ad interactions and clicks, advertising performance information, diagnostic information, and fraud-prevention information. The exact information processed may vary based on region, consent choices, device settings, applicable law, advertising configuration, and Google's policies.

Advertising data is separate from document data. Teckvertex Labs does not intentionally send the contents of users' PDF files, document text, or user documents to Google AdMob for advertising purposes. For more information, read the Google Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from apps and sites that use its services, and Google AdMob Android privacy documentation.

7. Advertising Consent and Privacy Choices

PDF Reader: Offline PDF Tools uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP), Google's privacy and consent messaging mechanism, to manage advertising consent and privacy choices where required. AdMob provides the advertisements. Privacy messages may be shown depending on region, applicable privacy law, consent status, and Google's configuration, so not every user or jurisdiction receives the same message.

Users in applicable regions, including the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, or other jurisdictions covered by relevant requirements, may be shown privacy or consent choices before certain advertising technologies are used. Users in applicable US jurisdictions may also receive privacy choices where required by applicable law and Google's configured privacy messaging. Advertising may be personalised, non-personalised, or otherwise restricted depending on consent, region, applicable law, device settings, and Google's configuration.

Where applicable, users may be able to review or update advertising privacy choices through privacy options provided by the App, Google, Android, or the applicable consent interface.

8. How Information Is Used

  • provide local PDF and document tools and remember local preferences;
  • measure feature usage, adoption, engagement, application flows, and sessions;
  • improve the App and evaluate its general performance;
  • display advertisements and measure advertising performance;
  • detect and prevent advertising fraud or abuse;
  • comply with legal obligations and respond to support requests.

9. Sharing and Sale of Information

User-initiated file sharing is separate from automatic SDK processing. If you choose to share or export a PDF file, the third-party application or service you select may receive it and handles it under its own privacy policy. Google services such as Firebase Analytics, Google AdMob, and UMP may automatically process technical, analytics, advertising, device, identifier, or related data as described in this policy. Google does not automatically receive users' PDF contents through these integrations.

Teckvertex Labs does not sell users' PDF documents or document contents and does not independently sell personal information obtained through the App.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

Locally generated documents and output files remain on your device until you delete them. Teckvertex Labs does not normally maintain server-side copies of locally processed PDF documents. Google, Firebase, AdMob, and their partners may retain information according to their own privacy and retention practices. Support emails may be retained for a reasonable period necessary to respond to requests.

You can remove local information by deleting generated documents or other files, clearing application data through Android, or uninstalling the App. Because there is no Teckvertex Labs account or cloud PDF storage for the App, there is no Teckvertex Labs cloud document account requiring deletion.

11. Children's Privacy

PDF Reader: Offline PDF Tools is a general-purpose utility and is not specifically designed for children. Teckvertex Labs does not knowingly solicit personal information directly from children through the App. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

12. Security

Teckvertex Labs uses reasonable safeguards appropriate to the App. Keeping core PDF processing local reduces unnecessary transfer of user documents, but security also depends on your device and the applications or services with which you choose to share files. No electronic storage or transmission system can guarantee absolute security.

13. Third-Party Links and Services

Advertisements, links, and services provided by third parties are governed by their own privacy policies. Teckvertex Labs is not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

14. User Choices

  • choose which documents the App can access through Android's document picker;
  • control applicable App permissions in Android settings;
  • review relevant advertising and privacy choices where available;
  • delete local App data and local documents;
  • choose whether and where to share, export, move, or upload a document.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if the App, its third-party services, advertising practices, analytics configuration, privacy requirements, or other data practices change. The current version is published at this URL with its "Last updated" date.
